the so-called bug.

September 19, 2006

This is the beauty of the computer. You are disconnected but you are on-line. A delay? A timeout? A flaw? I don’t know. Looks normal. I can check mail. I can search google, yahoo, msn.

How does this thing works?

End of the Beginning…

August 10, 2006

Finally, after long time of waiting, I was able to make it alive – hardin ng dalanginan. It is a Filipino word for Garden and Prayers. It is a place for people to offer their prayers to Saints and Patron and God about their sufferings to vanish and blessings to come.

This site will offer different stories behind the said place. Stories that made the Garden as a it is right now. Visitors can reflect about the stories and can share it by commenting about it.

It will be targeting people , especially online community such as forums and different sites that have the same content. Content in a way that sites focuses on the religous believes or simply Christianity.

God Bless and Respect.

Windows XP patch

June 11, 2006

Found this patch while browsing the Internet about WEP security and Internet connection problems. We really need to be a helpdesk for our own. Sometimes people from support group can’t really give a solutions to our daily problems. Most of us here can not accept re-install network drivers. You can also try this if you want to. Here’s the link

pchell

winsockfix

windows update

have fun.

If im a manager heres what im going to do.

First, try the calm down the situation.

Tell the entire group/division/section/department that there’s nothing to worry.

Tell them that actions are being done and system will be back to normal as soon as possible. But it is better to give them the exact time when is the system will work again.

Give them alternative way on how they can work again. Example, if accessing the e-mail outlook to them were very important and if they can’t access it using Microsoft outlook because of some problems tell them to use the web access mail. At least their network inbox are accessible, they can reach and reply to their client, and still they are working, no time is being wasted.

If the system have backup run it and let it be accessible to the user.

Don’t forget to escalate or to make isolation when encountering a problem. Try to look where the problem is look if it is in the network, somewhere in router/switch/hub/domain/cable/security policy, or in the operating system or in the system itself, coding/database/server or just a user problem.
