Ride with me!!

July 25, 2006

It’s been a week since my new baby came into my life. My new baby is a big bike. Yes, it’s big bike,a brand new motorcycle, 200cc, heavier than me-i’m almost 80 kgs, red and gray color. That’s motorstar z200 Xplorer. I’m ala Wish-n-bone on the Resurrection MTV when I ride it. Having this toy on my hand, I join to this forum, this is a great source for any brand and model of bike. Definitely these bike is a toy for the big boys.

Since I was a kid, a baby boy. Me and my brother always have a bike. He’s the driver and Im the passenger. And growing up, we manage to have different kinds of bike, from bmx, no-name bike, moutain bikes, mini-mountain-bike, fusion etc. Some survives with us and sell it because we had enough of them but some of them have been stolen by unknown chief thief, and I’m not going to let it happen with my bike, who definitely doesn’t respect us for being arrogant and trying to better than us in doing street life. But this will be a another story.

First thing first, a new bike should passed into break-in period. Sorry, I will not following the user’s manual 500kms break in period. I’m going over the prescribe km-age may be about 700kms. But I don’t understand why I can’t go faster than 40 km/h when the dealer says I can go 60 km/h. I’m a safe rider. Do I? After that I’ll do some modification when the warranty period is over. That was stated on dealer’s deal. Probably I only modify the lookability of it. Put some nice side mirrors. A better hand grip and headlights. A tail lights. I really don’t know. As long as I can afford it.

But behind of these fancy bike, neck full of chains and blings, Polo jeans and Nike signs. Im here to stay so you can get to know me because Im a simple blogger at heart.

Many of today’s kids are becoming fun and wild about animated films. It seems
that every animated movies that have been showed in the cinemas were became
blockbusters. Every single motion are digitally mastered. That is what high
technology does today, to give finer and smoother appearance of the movie.
Behind these accomplishment were the animation layout artists.

One of these animation layout artists, was Vic Villacorta of Walt
Disney Australia. Imagine a modern filipino artist penetrates the world of
animation and what is more impressive here is that he is working in a
respected movie production, the Walt Disney. Of course, the point here is
that why local producer can not offer him the same job. Why they let him go.
Maybe he can do animated Combatron, Eklok, Planet of the Eyps and manymore
which is a more filipino-oriented object. About his works, he was the
animation layout artist of the hit movies like Lion King and Jungle. In
addition to his works, he also did the top rated cartoon television like
Scooby-doo, Adam’s Family, Flinstones, Tom and Jerry and many more. There
totally too many to list all of his animated works. By the way, he was
graduated of CARTOON INC. Hanna-Barbera Production at California.

Our choice of artists was not a traditional person where known for
their old masterpiece. Their works was too famous to be recognized them as a
hero. But this artist is a different story who focus on his profit. Maybe he
opted to join Walt Disney because to give his family a better life. Someday
his name will be known not just by few but by the many.

Since the beginning of the PBA’s All Filipino Cup playoffs, I’ve been watching Red Bull’s quest in being the Champs. Against all odds simply because they been hounded by the league’s top three best contender for the Championship. First against Ginebra Ginkings. Then San Miguel Beermen. And now, they’re facing Purefoods Chunkee Giants. All are San Miguel Franchises. Organization-wise, San Miguel was bigger than Red Bull. As we know Ginkings were fan favorite in their series. They going up against number one scoring machine in the PBA, Mark Caguioa and major pain Erik Menk. With Ginebra’s depleted line up all I thought Red Bull will swept the series. But after winning game one then Ginkings leading the series, thinking that Ginebra was more eager to win the first round in dedication to injured players like Jayjay Helterbrand and Rommel Adducul, Red bull suddenly bounces back very strong leaving the Ginebra and give them a no-practice tomorrow. In the second round, they are up to challenge with the number one team for the ‘60 season, that is San Miguel, It could be the toughest for them. Winning game one was very, I can say, predictable in favor of the Red Bull. I believe the Red Bull has the momentum in winning it. San Miguel was came from a long vacation because of the classificatin phase of the PBA. Having a fresh legs, San miguel will surely having a hard time getting their rythm. Where were the odds? Here it is, one, Dorian Peña pounding the ball inside and almost crashing all of his defenders it is a headache for the Red Bull. Secondly, San Miguels have the most, maybe, unchallengable player with Danny Seigle. This player can create a lot of mismatches. Send him a natural player in number three spot definitely he will take advantage of his size. Send him a player from a four spot he wil take advantage of his quickness. Having said that, it is a headache for Coach Yeng. To complete the odds, MVP Danny Ildefonso can also be an headache, strict shooter and defensive specialist Don Don Hontiveros is also a factor and the “old veteran” Olsen Racela can be dangerous. But then again Red bull manages to win the series. All they need to realizes was that these players can only be dangerous if and only if there are on the floor if it is not take advantage of not having them in the floore. I believe Red bull has deeper bench than San Miguel. Deeper in a sense that players from Red bull are consistent and foucs both in offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Unlike with the San Miguel most with them are explosives type of players. That is why they win the win the Game 7 with the Hitman’s own kind version of Dagger Shoot. That is all about focusing to the game. Entering the Finals will be another story of odds for Red Bull. Again, for the second time, less the import, they will be facing Purefoods. The Giants are more intact right now. Lead by Kerby Raymundo the Purefoods are highly motivated by Tejada’s accident. It happened against the Red Bull. Are Red Bull affected because of it? Maybe not but subconsciously yes? While Kerby playing in a god-mode trying to testify he is a success in Purefoods team its going to be tough for Red bull’s big men. In addition to that, shooters like James Yap and Noy Castillo, although Noy was nothing to show in Game one, the aggresiveness of Marc Pingris and Yee, the hardwork and relialibility as veterans of Rey and Limpot, the quickness of Paul and Roger Yap it is going to be a tough ball game. The last and important odd was inside Red Bull’s organization. As coach Yeng consider to retire if he win this most precious All Filipino Cup Title because he has yet to win it , Red Bull club seems that they wasn’t sure if this statement motivated them or it just adding a pressure to them.

In the last two series Red Bull won the first game giving them a high percentage of winning the series. But the Red Bull was up to the challenge. It doesn’t matter who took the first game, at least with the Red Bull, simply because they are unpredictable.

Make some noise!

Take a look on my list of Filipino artists. Most of them are from hiphop community with different flavors from R&B and Rap. Initally, when we encounter or hear the names that dealing with hiphop are useless but in this case they are not your typical Filipino hiphop artists. Their songs have definitely have something to say about the inudstry even in economics and politics. Their albums are no non-sense in contrast to their contemporary artists. Most of the songs talk about sex, love, money, drugs and streets knowledge on a personal basis which makes the lyrics/content more real, live and motivating. Unlike with commercial albums where artists are much more of a performer here they appear as a preacher. Im not against with these artists that what the air waves plays, its just that you can not avoid to compare the commercial artists to underground artist. Obsviously, when we hear songs over and over again our tendency look for another alternatives. And as a music enthusiast we don’t want music that only looks good on its first release. We want music that we can play in any day. Sometimes music of our choice makes our mood in a day.
